Alexander Pilko was born in Dnepropetrovsk in 1951. In 1979, he graduated from the Higher LVHPU theme. Mukhina, Faculty of Design. At various times, engaged in graphic design,book illustrations, murals, easel painting and graphics and fine art photography. He participated in many exhibitions, had solo exhibitions in Stockholm, Linköping, St. Petersburg, exhibited in Moscow at the Grand Arena, etc. Work is represented in private collections in many countries such as: France, Germany, USA, Sweden, England, Italy, Israel, etc. He participated in a charity auction, in which the proceeds from the sales of the works went to help children suffering from cancer. Since 1974 he has lived and worked in St. Petersburg.
