Marshall K. Harris received his B.F.A. from Texas Christian University and M.F.A. in Sculpture from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Marshall’s career as an artist began in 2006, following stints in the National Football League, and then as a Museum Curator, Graphic Designer and Exhibit Designer for zoos and aquaria.

Harris creates life-sized (or larger) photo-realistic drawings using graphite on Mylar. He chooses everyday people, saddles, skulls, vegetables or utilitarian objects whose complexity he finds intriguing. The drawings focus attention on minute details that may be overlooked.

Harris’ work has been shown nationally and is included in numerous public and private collections. Harris was the recipient of the 2013 Hunting Art Prize. Harris's current exploration in drawing technique involves drawing his subject matter in reverse or as a negative image. When the final work is complete the drawing is scanned and inverted again to result in a positive rendition of the original object.
