Ginette portrays an idyllic beauty that is almost poetic; her paintings are filled with beautiful women, under a joyful freshness where everything is perfect, resplendent and naturally healthy. They make us feel a sense of harmony and peacefulness and awaken our pleasure that is produced when we are contemplating beautiful things.

Ginette’s artistic creation mirrors a romantic vision, in which the subject is conveyed by its passions and personality traits; there’s something special about her models, something that comes from the inside and that cannot be seen on the canvas’ surface, it’s implied and only intuition is able to reveal it. Something that happens to be implicit in the stare itself; the same stare that moves to a point somewhere in the infinite and, just like that, can also end up being confined within us or even through us. A distant stare in a persistent thought, under a vague detachment, that is also unique and captivating. With a distinct stance and a magnetic gaze, they look at us persistently, as if they were interested in what they’re seeing. If the beauty of her women captivates our attention, their personality completely conquers us.

Ginette has an elegant way to approach anatomy and perfectly reveal the sensual ways of the female body. There’s a special concern with formal features, something that is evident in the simplicity, symmetry and proportion, which produce enhanced specimens. It’s particularly obvious how much time and dedication was committed to their faces, to the development of every feature, a concern that has an accurate stroke and an adequate texture. The light, properly studied and placed, progressively shapes the face through the shadows. The hair and the ornaments are like icing on the cake, which contributes to emphasise the desire and enhance their weightlessness.
